Arctic Sunrise

Nature is a huge inspiration to me. I love being out in it, and I love incorporating it into my own music. Nature is a driving force in my album A Million Skies, and I can’t wait to share that story with you over the next few weeks (as I release the videos on YouTube). With that in mind, ere is Arctic Sunrise, the second track on the album:

Inspired by the frosty mornings of the far north, Arctic Sunrise creates an atmosphere of vast space using beautiful, sustained harmonies. Its soft opening uses gradual layers and slow rhythms (combined with those sustained harmonies) to paint an ethereal picture of a frozen landscape.

At 2:50, the gentle twang of an electric piano echoes the ambient synth, creating a subtle and ambiguous melody. And then, slowly, the music dies away, leaving space for reflection.

Thanks for listening.

By the way, did you notice the moving clouds in the video?
